Meet Nancy Frank
My name is Nancy Frank and I am excited to join the Messiah College Department of Nursing as Clinical Liaison Placement Coordinator. This newly created position includes various responsibilities working with agencies, faculty, and students to arrange clinical placements. Before a student can have a particular clinical experience, a contract must be signed, student requirements need to be met, and a mutually acceptable schedule has to be determined. I facilitate these arrangements as well as provide a consistent point of contact for each agency.
Since graduating from Messiah College in 1997, I have worked for Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, PA. I currently work per diem on the Women’s Inpatient and Antepartum Units at Harrisburg Hospital. As a staff nurse and rotating charge nurse, I provide primary care for patients with pregnancy complications, gynecological cancers and surgeries, and a variety of other medical/surgical diagnoses.
My husband, Brian, and I live in Mechanicsburg with our 2 children. Emily is 13 and in 7th grade. Jonathan is 9 and in 3rd grade. They occupy much of my time when I am not working. I also enjoy gardening and pack as many vegetables as possible into my small space. I love to read on a variety of topics and am always looking for spare moments to get lost in a book. We also enjoy visiting cities and state and national parks as a family.
I have received a warm welcome from the agencies, faculty, staff, and students and am enjoying this opportunity to coordinate clinical experiences. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
