Environmental Studies Major
Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary major for students
preparing for a career in environmental law or environmental public
policy. It provides students with scientific knowledge as well as comprehension of the institutions and processes in which policy decisions are crafted and implemented. The major offers a choice of concentrations in two areas: Public Policy and Pre-Environmental Law. Both areas offer a strong background for students planning to enter law/graduate school or for post-graduation employment at the interface of environmental science and policy. The major is jointly administered by the Department of Biological Sciences and Department of Politics. A minor in Environmental Studies is also offered by the Department of Biological Sciences.
