Introduction

Welcome!  Our department focuses on people -- in culture, society, criminal justice, and the broader environment.  Our faculty encourage students to become effective, compassionate agents of change in the world.

 

Emphasis is given to excellent teaching and learning that includes classroom activities, experiential learning and close faculty/student interaction.  Many courses include service-learning.  Most students study abroad and/or at the Philadelphia campus.
