Tenure Track position at the University of Alabama

The Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin as early as Jan. 2, 2008. 

Requirements:  A Ph.D. in Sociology or related discipline is required, and candidates must have a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research. The qualified candidate will conduct research in social inequalities, specifically gender and family.  The successful candidate should also have experience managing large online sections of Introduction to Sociology (500+ students) and be willing to teach Research Methods and Statistics.
