The Department of Justice, Law and Society in
the School of Public Affairs at American University invites applications for a tenure-line appointment to begin AY 2008-09 at the rank of assistant professor.
Qualifications: Candidate should be able to teach courses in Race and Justice and/or Critical Race Theory. The position requires Ph.D. in a field relevant either to justice (e.g. sociology, criminology, criminal justice) or law and society (e.g., legal history, philosophy, social theory, economics, anthropology). Evidence of successful teaching at the university level is highly desirable.
