SCJ Security Position - SSC #38315

The School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position in criminal justice and criminology at the assistant professor level.

We seek a candidate who will contribute to the School's security management program through research related to private and corporate security. Scholars with a variety of research interests including but not limited to: organizational theory and management, private policing in a democracy, cybersecurity, routine activities, and/or situational crime prevention are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct externally funded research. International experience or demonstrated interest in international issues is an advantage.

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. prior to the position starting date and must have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and published scholarship. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2007 and will continue until the position is filled.
