2005-2006 Season
Into The Woods
Book: James Lapine
Music/Lyrics: Stephen Sondheim
Dates: February 2-4 & 9-11 @ 8 pm; February 5 & 12 at 2 pm
Faculty Director: Edward R. Cohn

Fractured fairy tales of a darker hue provide the remarkable context for Into the Woods, in which Stephen Sondhiem and James Lapine deconstruct the Brothers Grimm. While the faces and names are familiar, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, and company provide the playmakers with the opportunity to explore the implications and consequences of what we are teaching our children, while delighting us with Sondhiem’s Tony winning score and Lapine’s mastery of wit.
