David Kasparek, MGD
David Kasparek, assistant professor of art at Messiah College, teaches graphic design,
which includes classes in typography, the union of type and image, visual literacy, and multimedia design.
He brings more than ten years of design firm experience to teaching, including his most recent tenure at Grafik
Communications in Alexandria, Va., where he worked on corporate identity and branding campaigns, annual reports, posters and publications.
David received the Master of Graphic Design (MGD) degree from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, N.C., and a bachelor's degree in graphic
design from Seton Hill University, Greensburg, Pa. His work has appeared in national publications such as Print Magazine, and Typography 3: Global Vision,
an annual which features international excellence in type design, as well as a variety of shows, including the Cornerstone
festival in Bushnell, Illinois.
David's teaching as well as his ongoing personal and client-based work focuses on creating meaningful visual form, through various media and processes,
which communicates, shapes, or creates content in compelling ways.
