Job Description
Position Title: Assistant to the Executive Director of the Agape Center for Service and Learning
Department: Agape Center for Service and Learning
Reports To: Executive Director of the Agape Center for Service and Learning
Supervises: 2 Student Positions
Position Summary: The Assistant to the Director provides secretarial and administrative assistance to the Executive Director related to the oversight of the Agape Center and its programs. This includes overseeing the day to day operation of the Agape Center facility.
Education Required: High School Diploma
Experience Required: 3 years secretarial and administrative
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position:
- Office Management skills: including supervisory, secretarial, organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and hospitality skills for phone, office, on and off campus engagement
- Relates well to college students
- Computer skills with the following programs: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc). Preferred: Groupwise and Web and Graphic Development software
- Detail Oriented
Special Working Conditions (if any): Driving is necessary for certain projects
Varied work hours depending on meeting schedules/campus events
Primary Duties
| 1 Assist the Director as requested in all aspects of work related to the Agape Center. This includes special events involving the Agape Center |
| 2. Handle e-mail, phone calls, messages, and daily mail for the Agape Center, the Director, and External Programs when assistant is not available |
| 3. Welcome and assist persons who visit the Agape Center. This includes assisting with arrangements for off campus constituencies visting the Agape Center |
| 4. Assist students in finding information about service opportunities |
| 5. Maintain current budget information for the Agape Center |
| 6. Assist in managing the Service Agency and Service-Learning database for the Agape Center. |
| 7. Attend meetings, take minutes and prepare routine reports required by the Agape Center. |
| 8. Serve as a building manager for the Agape Center Building. |
| 9. Supervise activities for work study students assigned to the Agape Center |
10. Consistent and reliable attendance
11. Assist with aspects of the summer bi-annual Service-Learning Conference for faith-based colleges and universities
12. Other duties as assigned. |
Secondary Duties

Collabarate with the Assistant to the Dean of External Programs in coordinating support when needed |

Assist with announcements and publicity for Agape Center programs |
