Embracing the Different
We are committed to equipping students—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually— for their service and mission experiences. There are many things to learn and many questions to ask before leaving and upon returning to campus. Therefore, in an atetmpt to provide students with a foundation for asking questions and making the most of their experiences we offer both an Orientation Retreat in the Spring and a Reflection and Re-entry Retreat during the Fall. The retreats are provided to give students a foundation for asking questions and making their experience the best possible one that it can be.
- The Spring Orientation Retreat equips teams and individuals for their summer experience by raising awareness of expectations, attitudes, culture shock, health concerns, cross-cultural ministry, evangelism and social justice issues such as poverty and inequality.
- The Fall Reflection and Re-entry Retreat assists teams and individuals in their journey of debriefing their summer experience and relating it to their life back home as a college student and their future vocation and calling.
