This past summer, 86 Messiah students were God’s hands and feet, volunteering their time and talents to serve at sites ranging from Chicago to Rwanda. Of these students, 39 served on one of Messiah's teams extending their reach to Albania, China, El Salvador, and Mexico. The teams have returned, yet the affects of their ministry are far from over. Students participated in short-term service as a small part of on-going ministries. Each team partnered with organizations rooted in long-term commitment to these countries. In addition, upon returning to Messiah, students now bring a transformed global perspective that affects their everyday lives and choices. They also learned that those they served, served them in ways they have only begun to understand. In just a short time these experiences broadened the students’ vision of God's heart for everyone, deepening their faith, and experiencing what it means to care for the whole person and the whole community.
