MATHEMATICS WITH TEACHING CERTIFICATION:
On-Campus Opportunities
- Volunteer as a tutor for Allison Hill Tutoring or Refugee Tutoring
- Volunteer with Dokimoi Ergatai, a student campus group that applies their academic curriculum to service projects: Staff, Energy, Pump, Water for the World, and Tricycle.
- Serve as the Dokimoi Ergatai Logistics or Finance manager
- Volunteer with Migrant Education to be paired with a student from Harrisburg .
- Volunteer at Paxton Ministry spending informal time with special needs adults
- Volunteer to be a Best Buddy to establish a one-on-one friendship with special needs adults
- Build relationships with high school students by volunteering through Young Life, Abba’s Place, or New Hope ministries.
Post-Graduate Opportunities:
- Serve as an national or international missionary teaching mathematics to missionary children or poor local schools
- Wycliffe has many opportunities for teachers. Schools range in size from a one-room multi-grade classroom to a K-12 school with over 700 students.
- Wycliffe has itinerant teacher opportunities to work with small groups of children for short periods of time. These teachers have the rare opportunity to live in different village environments as they consult with parents who teach their own children.
