SPANISH AND SPANISH BUSINESS:
On-Campus Opportunties:
- Pursue study abroad opportunities, and while away find service opportunities within the foreign culture.
- Volunteer at Mt. Pleasant Hispanic Center as a tutor for elementary children or help to teach the adult ESL classes.
- Serve as the Latino and Migrant Issues Outreach Coordinator.
- Raise awareness about fair trade business options and opportunities with the Amnesty International Focus Group
- Volunteer with Dokimoi Ergatai, a student campus group that applies their academic curriculum to service projects: Staff, Energy, Pump, Water for the World, and Tricycle
Post-Graduate Opportunities:
- Translate for immigrants or refugees to fill out needed paperwork for visas, passports, jobs, citizenship etc.
- Spanish speaker for public relations and follow up for Christian radio station
- Much of Wycliffe's translation and literacy work involves linguistic research. If you currently do Spanish, French, or English technical writing or editing in a business, academic, or government-related field, you may already have the basic skills Wycliffe needs.
