Examples here include the Middle East Studies Program in Cairo, Egypt, where each student is given the chance to take private lessons on traditional Arabic instruments with professional musicians from the National Arabic Music Ensemble.
This educaation major gains new insight into special needs children from her Special Olympics "buddy" during campus-wide "Service Day."

Each student artist in the Contemporary Music Program at Martha's Vineyard, mass, is assigned their own Business Manager who oversees their publicity shots, demo recordings and public performance schedules throughout the semester. Film and Media Arts students studying at Messiah's Philadelphia Campus get hands-on training experience with computer editing at Temple University's Digital Video Editing Center.
