Travel Information

Arriving by Plane:

The closest airport is Harrisburg International (code:MDT). The Crowne Plaza provides a free shuttle to the hotel and the conference will provide free shuttle service from the hotel to the Messiah College campus.

Other relatively close airports include BWI and Washington/Dulles; each is about a two hour drive from Harrisburg.

Arriving by Train:

Amtrak serves Harrisburg and the station is only three blocks from the conference hotel (see below). The conference will provide free shuttle service from the hotel to Messiah College.

The Crowne Plaza in downtown Harrisburg, PA is serving as the conference hotel. Conference participants must make their own room reservations. The special rate for conference participants is $89 per night per room (for single or double or triple.) The conference rate is available for a limited number of rooms and is guaranteed only until September 12.

The conference hotel will provide free shuttle service from Harrisburg Airport and free shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and the conference site at Messiah College. (The shuttle schedule will be available upon arrival at the hotel.)

From East or West on PA Turnpike:
Take Turnpike Exit 247 and follow I-283 north to I-83 south. Exit I-83 at Exit 43 (Second Street). Take Second St. north. The hotel is at third light on the right (2nd & Chestnut Streets)

From South via I-83:
Take I-83 north to Exit 43 (Second Street). Take Second St. north. Hotel is at third light on the right (Second & Chestnut Streets)

From North via I-81:
Follow I-81 South to I-83 South to Exit 43 (Second Street). Take Second St. north. Hotel is at third light on the right (Second & Chestnut Streets).

Hotel Parking:
Overnight guests of the Crowne Plaza Harrisburg Hotel can park in the hotel garage. A $8.00 per day parking fee will be charged.
