Founded in 1993, and comprised of Freshmen through Senior students at Messiah College, the Genesis II Solar Racing Team seeks to push the boundries of science and technology, build teamwork, and put their engineering skills into practice by building competitive solar racing machines. The team has completed four solar cars which have competed in the Sunrayce competitions, but now the team takes to the water to compete in the Solar Splash challenge. The Genesis team has built a pair of boats over the last two years to compete in the Solar Splash Solar Boating Competition.
