Scientists Assaulting God: Can Evolution be a Religion?
A free lecture sponsored by The Central Pennsylvania Forum for Religion and Science and the Messiah College Honors Program

Featured speaker: Dr. Karl Giberson, Professor of Physics at Eastern Nazarene College and director of the Forum on Faith and Science at Gordon College

Text Box: Impressive scientific progress has spawned new preachers in the centuries since crowds sat spellbound under the judgmental voice of Jonathan Edwards. Like their traditional counterpart, the new preachers speak with great confidence that their religion -- science -- contains all the truth we need to know and all the truth that can be known. They call us to worship at the altar of science, a summons that is both peculiar and alarming.

Tuesday, 3 March 2009, at 7:00 pm. Students receive chapel credit for this talk.

Location: Hostetter Chapel Sanctuary, Messiah College, Grantham, PA.  Directions and a campus map are here http://www.messiah.edu/visitors/direction.html.
