Inspired by the Old Testament’s Job, this play within a play tells the story of a perfect and upright man named J.B. Two circus clowns take on the roles of God and Satan as they debate J.B.’s devotion to the Great Creator. As we watch J.B. experience one agonizing loss after another, many advisors offer new ways to understand pain. Will the mystery of J.B.’s suffering alter his belief in God’s justice and mercy?

A post-performance conversation will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20. Join local religious leaders and volunteers as they reflect on their experiences as bereavement counselors.
