Introductory Period

How will I know if I am succeeding?


The purpose of the introductory period is to ensure and establish performance and compatibility between employee and supervisor.

During the introductory period the new employee and the supervisor will evaluate employment suitability in terms of skill, knowledge, performance, and compatibility.  During this period the employee will be given the support and resources needed to learn and demonstrate the duties and competencies required in the new position and to achieve clearly articulated goals.
