Yes. The Messiah University Honors Program is designed for students who demonstrate high scholarly ability early in their academic career and meet the program’s criteria. The program provides a series of interdisciplinary honors courses, which satisfies selected general education requirements. In addition, various campus activities are designed each semester exclusively for participants in The Honors Program. Participation in the program culminates in the preparation and public presentation of an interdisciplinary research project in the senior year. Admission to the program is highly competitive. The Honors Program is open to first-year students who are selected to receive the Trustees', President's or Faculty Scholarships.

Yes, Messiah does offer students the opportunity to achieve their goals ahead of schedule by earning a bachelor's degree in either three or 3.5 years. Opportunities vary based on a student's major and numerous other factors. To learn more visit "Three Ways to Three Years."

Many of our Messiah alumni are working in various professional fields. For the past several years, at least 95% of the graduating class reports being employed or being enrolled in a graduate or professional program within 6-9 months after graduation.  Check out our Career Outcomes page for more information.

At Messiah, the classes are designed to be smaller so that students have more personalized relationships with their professors. A Messiah education is carefully mentored by faculty, and it’s not uncommon for students and faculty in their field of study to do research together, to co-present at conferences, to perform together in vocal, dance and theatre ensembles and to develop a rapport that lasts beyond the students’ time at Messiah.

The professors at Messiah teach a wide range of classes. Since we do not have graduate students teaching ANY of Messiah's courses, students will have professors teaching even entry-level courses.
