Introductory courses in the biomedical concentration provide an overview of the breadth of biology, while advanced courses allow you to develop expertise in the function, structure and regulation of organisms, organ systems and individual cells. The biomedical concentration of the biology major will prepare you for admission to graduate programs in health (medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physician assistant, optometry, etc.); the basic sciences (neuroscience, physiology, biomedical sciences); or to obtain immediate employment in biomedical research.
