U.S. Ethnic Studies Concentration

The U.S. ethnic studies concentration within the ethnic and area studies major provides students with a multidisciplinary understanding of cultural, racial and ethnic traditions in the United States. Students explore American literature and history, the American educational system, Native American history and culture, immigration, and African-American history and theology. Students who major in ethnic and area studies with a concentration in U.S. ethnic studies are challenged to apply their knowledge in church and society to become effective agents of social justice and reconciliation.
