Religion Concentration and Minor

The biblical and religious studies major at Messiah College equips students to interpret biblical texts responsibly and to reflect on religious beliefs and practices. With a religion concentration or minor you will examine a variety of world religions—including Judaism, Islam and religions of India, China and Japan—and explore the ways Christianity is practiced in Latin American, Africa, Asia and North America. By acquiring tools for biblical interpretation, theological reflection and religious understanding, students with a religion concentration or minor gain insight into their own faith as well as resources for becoming leaders, servants and reconcilers in church and society.
