African American Religion and Culture Minor

Students with a minor in African American religion and culture develop a multidisciplinary, theological understanding and in-depth knowledge of African American culture and tradition to become effective agents of social justice reconciliation. Literature, history, theology and socio-cultural courses are required for the African American religion minor. The biblical and religious studies department, where this minor is housed, is committed to equipping students to interpret biblical texts responsibly and to reflect on religious beliefs and practices.
