The civil engineering concentration gives you an overview on the environmental, structural, geotechnical and traffic areas of civil engineering with a special emphasis on structural and environmental. In the civil engineering concentration you’ll learn to plan, analyze, design and construct structures and systems such as buildings, bridges, transportation systems and water supply systems. Courses in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Design and Water Resources Engineering prepare you to work in the public sector from municipal to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners to international companies.
