Internship Study Abroad
Nearly all Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice students study abroad, choosing from programs approved by Messiah's Intercultural Office. Advisors work with students to transfer credits back into the major or meet general education requirements. Favorites include Thailand, Rwanda, Oregon and New Zealand.
Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice students often work with the Internship Center to get practical, real-world experience in the local area or around the world as part of an off-campus program. Internships range in hours per week and credit load. Recent placements include human service addressing rural poverty, Good Works ministry, refugee legal assistance, City of Lancaster, supporting genocide survivors in Rwanda, drama with disabled people in Thailand, and legislative intern at the Pennsylvania State Capitol.
