About Your Card


Student ID Card

The Falcon Card is your official means of identification while at Messiah College. It is used for identification purposes and for access to numerous facilities and services on campus. All ID cards are issued by the Falcon Exchange. All ID cards are the property of Messiah College. No one is allowed to borrow or use another student's ID card for any purpose.

Lost cards should be reported to the Falcon Exchange where a temporary card may be issued. If the Falcon Exchange is closed, a temporary card may be obtained at the Dispatch Office. Lost ID cards may be replaced at a cost up to $20.00. Temporary cards must be returned to the Falcon Exchange or Dispatch Office within 72 hours or a charge of $15.00 will be assessed to the student's tuition account and a replacement ID card will then be issued. Lost Temporary cards are charged a replacement fee of $15.00. Damaged cards may be replaced at a cost up to $20.00. All fees are non-refundable. 

One of the following cards must be present to use Messiah College facilities

Student Identification Cards

Student card:

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Used to obtain entrance into Lottie Nelson Dining Room by accessing your Meal Plan or Falcon Dollar account.
  • Used as a debit card after depositing funds into your Falcon Dollars or Dining Dollars account.

Deposits can be made at the Falcon Exchange in Eisenhower Campus Center 2nd floor, or VTS (Value Transfer Station) machines. These machines are located on 2nd floor Eisenhower, Murray Library, and the Student Union Alcove 1st Floor, or online using the CashNet e-billing site.

(Note: Please be careful when depositing into the VTS machines that you chose the correct account as Dining Dollar funds can only be used for food.)

Falcon Dollars Account: When money is deposited into your Falcon Dollars Account, your account becomes active. This account may be used in the Lottie Nelson Dining Room, Falcon Express, Larsen Student Union Cafe, Book Store, Ticket Office, Vending Machines and Copying Machines, and select special functions around campus.

Note: There is a $50.00 Daily Copying Limit on your card at unattended readers. This is the amount you will see when you place your card in the reader. This is not your account balance. Your true balance will show when you pull your card from the reader.

Other Card Uses include:

  • Used as a Library Card to check out books in the campus Library.
  • Dorm Access (Residential Dorms)
  • Facility Access (Computer Labs, Recreational Facilities and Academic Buildings)
  • To sign up for special activities and receive student discounts, both on and off campus.

Please report this card if lost or stolen immediately to the Falcon Exchange. If after office hours, please report to Dispatch Office located in Eisenhower Campus Center.

Do not punch holes in or otherwise deface this card. Any deliberate defacement will be subject to a $15.00 replacement fee. This card should be treated with the same care as you would your bank cards.

Alumni Identification Cards

Alumni Card:

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Used as a debit card after depositing funds into your Falcon Dollars.

Deposits can be made at the Falcon Exchange in Eisenhower Campus Center 2nd floor or VTS (Value Transfer Station) machines. These machines are located on 2nd floor Eisenhower, Murray Library, and the Student Union Alcove 1st Floor.

Falcon Dollars Account: When money is deposited into your Falcon Dollars Account, your account becomes active. This account may be used in the Lottie Nelson Dining Room, Falcon Express, Larsen Dining, Book Store, Ticket Office, Vending Machines, and Copying Machines.

Copies are $0.06 when using your Falcon Dollars account.

Other Card Uses include:

  • Can be used as a Library Card to check out books at the campus Library.
  • To gain entry into sporting events and college activities.

Immediate family members (ie: spouse, dependent children) may use your Alumni Card to use the College's facilities.

Please report this card if lost or stolen immediately to the Falcon Exchange. If after office hours, please report to Dispatch Office located in Eisenhower Campus Center.

Employee Identification Cards

Employee card:

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Used as a debit card after depositing funds into your Falcon Dollars.

Deposits can be made at the Falcon Exchange in Eisenhower Camus Center 2nd floor or VTS (Value Transfer Station) machines. These machines are located on 2nd floor Eisenhower,  Murray Library and the Student Union Alcove 1st Floor.

Falcon Dollars Account: When money is deposited into your Falcon Dollars Account, your account becomes active. This account may be used in the Lottie Nelson Dining Room, Falcon Express, Larsen Dining, Book Store, Ticket Office, Vending Machines, and Copying Machines.

Copies are .06 when using your Falcon Dollars account.

Other Card Uses include:

  • Can be used as a Library Card to check out books at the campus Library.
  • To receive employee discounts (ie: ticket sales, bookstore, and off campus vendors)
  • To gain entry into sporting events and college activities.

Family Identification Cards

Family Card:

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Family member must be a spouse, or a dependent child between the ages of 14 - 21 of an employee. Child must be parent’s dependent if between the ages of 18 – 21.
  • A parent must accompany children under age 14 and the child would not need a card.
  • A Family card may be used to check out books at the campus library.
  • It is also used as a debit card on campus using a Falcon Dollar account.

Once money is deposited to your Falcon Dollars Account your debit account becomes active. You may use the funds in Lottie Nelson Dining, Falcon Express, Larsen Dining, Bookstore, Ticket Office, and various Vending and Copier machines on campus.

You may deposit into your Falcon Dollars account at the Falcon Exchange in Eisenhower Campus Center 2nd floor or use the VTS machines on campus. These machines are located on 2nd floor Campus Center, 1st floor alcove outside of Larsen Dining and the Library alcove by the copier machines.

Your Family card may be used to gain access to various campus facilities. (ie: pool, fitness center, weight room and gym)

(Please note: Family Card holders may not use their card for additional guests)

*Please note that friend, department and conference cards are not accepted for facility use.

This is your official college identification and is not transferable. Misuse, loss or mutilation of this card may subject the holder to disciplinary action and/or a card replacement fee. The college is not responsible for any expense resulting from the loss or misuse of this card. This card is the property of Messiah College and must be surrendered upon termination of enrollment or employment. This card may be required for entry to college events or for use of college facilities. The bearer of this card assumes all risk of personal injury and property damage which may occur in the course of his/her use of Messiah College facilities or equipment.
