Dorothy Miller (Politics, 2004)

Dorothy Miller currently works as Associate Director for Vaccine Policy and Government Relations for Merck & Co., Inc. She works to strengthen state vaccine-related policies and practices from Maine to Virginia. Previously, Dorothy was a Research Scientist at PolicyLab at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and an Adjunct Instructor in the Master of Public Health Program at The University of Pennsylvania. While at PolicyLab, her research focused on state variation in overseeing psychotropic medications for children in foster care and health care reform. She also served in 2012-2013 on the Pennsylvania Psychotropic Medications Working Group. Prior to joining PolicyLab, Dorothy worked on health reform and health literacy initiatives through the Wisconsin Health Information Organization's Partnership for Healthcare Payment Reform, health IT and meaningful use policy work, a range of health law related research projects and developing the Ethiopian pediatric emergency medicine system.

Dorothy holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Law and a M.P.H. from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.  She is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, and is the author of a number of publications.

Melissa Bell (Politics, 2004)

Melissa is a Director and co-founder of The Terrace Initiative, an Australian consulting firm with offices in Perth and Sydney. As a career consultant, Melissa has executed complex organizational optimization and restructuring programs for Tier 1 companies across Europe, the United States, Australia, and the Middle East including Deutsche Bank, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton.

Melissa has a Bachelor's in Politics from Messiah College and a Master's in International Relations from the London School of Economics. In her free time Melissa enjoys trail running, relishing the immense challenge of marathons and ultramarathons. She also has a passion for charity work particularly in relation to HIV-AIDS education, a focus fostered during her two and half years serving with the United States Peace Corps in northern Ukraine where she ran a portfolio of HIV-AIDS prevention programs.

Diana (Swisher) Burckhart (Politics, 2007)

After graduating from Messiah, Diana took a position with a Harrisburg based economic development and planning firm working in the areas of federal and state public funding and government relations. Diana is currently the Pennsylvania Government Relations Representative for Aqua America, Inc., a suburban Philadelphia based water company with operations in 13 states. At Aqua, Diana monitors and influences legislation in Harrisburg, serves as the treasurer of the company's employee funded political action committee and assists in political fundraising efforts.
