2014-2015 Graduate Tuition and Fees

(effective July 1, 2014—June 30, 2015)

  • Tuition is reviewed and subject to adjustment each year.
  • Please note that books are not included in the tuition cost.
  • Total tuition cost listed for each graduate program below is estimated based on current-year cost per credit hour. Additional undergraduate or graduate level courses will increase the estimate of total tuition costs.

Tuition cost for the entire program: ranges from $30,345 (51 credits) to $35,700 (60 credits)

Master of Arts in Higher Education

Tuition cost for the entire 36-credit-hour program: $21,420

Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership

Master of Arts in Youth and Young Adult Ministries

Total tuition cost for the 30 graduate credit hours and the 30 (minimum) undergraduate credit hours required to be taken at Messiah is $30,750

Additional costs and fees

Technology fee

For all graduate students: there is a $30 technology fee per course.

Program-specific fees

For students in the M.A. in art education program:

  • Studio Courses Level I fees: $60/course
  • Studio Courses Level II fees: $110/course
  • Additional course fees may be charged for classes that require specific materials (i.e. certain studio classes). These fees, however, will be clearly communicated to the student and listed as a course fee upon registration.

For students in the M.A. in counseling program:

  • Additional costs may be incurred throughout the program. To see a list of potential costs and fees related to the counseling program, including required materials/technology and clearances, click here.

Pre-registration deposit

A non-refundable pre-registration deposit of $200 is required for all new, first-time graduate students or re-enrolled graduate students. Your deposit, which confirms your acceptance into our program, will be applied as a prepayment of your first semester’s tuition and fees.

Once accepted in the program, you will be able to submit your deposit online via credit card or you may mail your payment by check. Checks should be made payable to “Messiah College” and mailed to:

Printing fees

Each enrolled graduate student is given a $24 credit for printing in campus labs. Once this credit limit has been met, the student will be billed for each additional page printed. Any remaining credit in one semester will not be rolled forward or added to the next semester's credit. For more details on printing fees, please see the Information Technology Services website.
