The higher education internships (HIED 562 and
HIED 563) are supervised field experiences of 120 hours in a setting consistent
with the students’ professional and educational goals. The internship experience is designed to
enhance students’ professional capacities in higher education. Students will assume administrative
responsibilities at a college, a university, or another higher education
organization, under the supervision of an accomplished professional in the
field. Upon completion of 18 credit hours toward the Higher Education Master's Degree including HIED 511 and 3 credits in the student's concentration, students may begin the internship course. Information about the internship application process is on our website.
