Human Services at Messiah College
The human services minor features a balanced approach to classroom learning and field experiences to help you learn the basic skills needed for working in a human services environment, which includes everything from adoption and foster care to criminal justice, poverty, disability and other areas that address human needs. You’ll get a broad overview of human services fields and also explore topics within human services. A required practicum along with two service-learning courses prepares you for hands-on service to your community. If you’re interested in learning about human services, but don’t want to pursue a professional social work degree, this minor is for you.
