Because we want to make sure you get off to a good start, your life as a Messiah student begins with Welcome Week, an orientation and community- building experience exclusively designed for first year and transfer students.
This is a time when you will begin developing important social and support networks - before you have to start dealing with your classes and other academic expectations.
Before the sophomores, juniors, and seniors arrive on campus, you'll have time to:
Settle into your room
Get familiar with your surroundings
Learn how to navigate the campus
Meet your roommates, floormates, and residence assistants (RAs)
Meet professors and your academic advisors
Sign up for clubs and organizations
You'll also get to participate in:
A welcome picnic where you'll get to mingle with classmates and professors in a fun and casual setting
Our traditional candlelight worship service for first-year students and their families
A "Beach Party"at the Student Union
First-Year (teambuilding) Games
Into the Streets - a day of local outreach and service
