Drop / Add (Change in Registration)
Following pre-registration, all course changes require the signature of the student's academic advisor. After classes begin, or if a class is closed, the signature of the instructor is required in order to drop or add a course. These signatures are then submitted to the Registrar's Office for an official change in registration. Courses may be added during the first two weeks of the fall and spring semester or during the first three days of classes during January term. Courses may be dropped during the first third of the term in which they are offered without appearing on a student's academic transcript. During the middle third of the semester, a grade of W is recorded and appears on the student's transcript, but does not affect the student's grade point average. Specific deadline dates for course changes are posted each semester.
