Accepted Dual-Enrolled Students
Congratulations on becoming a dual-enrolled student!
Fall 2014 dual-enrolled new student orientation will be held from 9am-3:30pm on Friday, August 15. This orientation is mandatory for all new dual-enrolled students that will be studying on the Mechanicsburg campus. Additional details will be emailed to all new students prior to August 1. If you have a scheduling conflict, please contact Tim Agnolutto.
Dual enrollment on campus
Messiah College is excited to host dual-enrolled high school students on our campus. Please be aware that there are a few additional steps that you must take prior to the first day of class.
1. Get a parking permit
Please fill out this form in order to secure a commuter parking permit. The form may be faxed or emailed to email@example.com. Please note clearly that you are a "dual-enrolled student" on this form so that there will be no cost for the permit. Without noting this, you will be assessed a fee.
2. Locate your class
Find your class on the Campus Map. The buildings and parking lots are clearly marked so that you can figure out the best way to get to your class from your parking spot.
3. Get a student ID card
Please visit the Card Services Office in order to have your picture taken and to receive an ID card. This ID card is very important at Messiah for a variety of things. The Card Services Office is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Mon.-Fri. It is located on the second floor of Eisenhower Campus Center.
4. Get a campus mail box key
Please visit the Campus Post Office when you begin coming to class in order to access your post office box key. Post Office hours are 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Mon.-Fri. You will automatically be assigned a mail box for mail and the Campus Post Office will hold the key for you. Professors may mail papers and other documents through the campus mail system.
5. Purchase textbooks
Textbooks can be ordered at Textbook Express, Messiah's book store. Visit Textbook Express online or on campus during the hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Mon.-Fri
6. Know emergency procedures
Please take a moment to review Messiah College's emergency procedures. Dual-enrolled students should sign up for Messiah's text message alert system, which will send a text message in the event of an unscheduled closing or delay due to inclement weather, or other campus-wide emergencies. While Messiah's campus is safe, it is important to know the procedures in the event of an emergency.
High school remote site and summer online students
If you will be taking a course during the summer online or at a high school remote site, you will need to purchase textbooks. Textbooks can be ordered at Textbook Express, Messiah's book store. You can visit Textbook Express online or on campus during the hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
If you have any questions or concerns about your experience as a dual-enrolled student, don't hesitate to contact Tim Agnolutto at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have questions about your course registration or class, please contact Emily Kime in the Registrar's Office at email@example.com.
