Digital Video & Story Concentration
Messiah’s digital media major features interdisciplinary studies in a convergence of fields including film and multi media, computer science, sound design, and art. The Department of Communication houses the concentration in digital video and story, which prepares you broadly for digital media careers most closely related to film. As a digital media major, you’ll be prepared to assist corporations, non-profits, foundations, educational institutions, libraries, and faith-based organizations to digitally enhance information and curate data that’s more accessible, interactive, and visually engaging.
As a digital media major with a digital video and story concentration, you’ll:
- Gain perspectives, knowledge, and skills through a core set of interdisciplinary courses
- Specialize through courses in Messiah’s film and media arts major offerings
- Enhance practical skills using our cutting edge equipment and facilities
- Apply theory through hands-on practice in a senior seminar project
- Have the opportunity to double-major, minor, study abroad, participate in cross-cultural courses, or create independent digital media projects.
