Messiah University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and accepts  transfer credits from universities and colleges that are considered to have regional U.S. accreditation. Regional accreditation is the form of academic accreditation that is universally recognized by University and universities throughout the United States. National accreditation, though it sounds broader in scope, is quite different from regional accreditation. If the school you attended is not regionally accredited, Messiah University will not accept transfer credit from the school and will not accept your undergraduate degree as a prerequisite for admission.

Regional accreditation

While Messiah University requires graduate students to hold an undergraduate degree, applications for admission from students who have earned an undergraduate degree from a University or university in the United States that is not regionally accredited will be evaluated for admission on a case by case basis. Details can be found here.
