The application is available online; be sure to follow the links to apply as an international student. You must apply using the Messiah College application. We do not accept the Common Application.
As part of the application, you will be asked to write an essay in response to a given question.
Required documents for application
You must submit your academic record. This can be submitted one of three ways:
1. Official, original transcripts—these records must be in English and have the signature of a school official as well as a school seal. If your school participates in Parchment Exchange, you can request these online. If not, your school can send these to Messiah College through the post.
2. Certified copy—these records must be in English and must be certified through your local Education USA office.
3. Electronic transcripts may be sent on a case-by-case basis subject to approval. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to determine eligibility.
Your transcript records must include grades for individual courses as well as diplomas or certificates required in your country as evidence of qualification for university. You are also required to submit the results of any national exams taken (IGCSE, West Africa Exam, CXC, SPM/STPM, A levels, etc.).
Standardized test scores
You are required to submit at least one official standardized test score from the following options:
SAT or ACT: Messiah College reviews applications in light of several factors, one of which is a standardized test score. The average composite score of SAT is 1150 on critical reading and math and average composite ACT score is 25.
*If your TOEFL, IELTS or SAT/ACT score is low, you can be admitted through the Academic English Program.
The SAT I and ACT scores can qualify you for admission and impact your eligibility for scholarships. The TOEFL and IELTS can qualify you for admission, but will not help you qualify for additional financial aid. Test results must be submitted to Messiah College directly from the testing institution (see codes below) or verified by your school as part of an official transcript.
SAT code – 2411; ACT code – 3630; TOEFL code – 2411; IELTS - no code required, simply request that your scores be sent to Messiah College Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Suite 3005, One College Ave., Mechanicsburg PA 17055, U.S.A.
