FACS Camp

Summer Camp for High School Students

June 24-28, 2018

Why Attend?

If you have considered going to college to be a family and consumer sciences teacher or wondered what careers are available in the field, this camp is for you!

Who can attend?

Rising 8th - 12th grade students

How much does it cost?

$650 – resident; $550 commuter

Who is teaching?

Local Family and Consumer Science teachers including Messiah alumni.

What will I learn & do?

• Learn about foods and nutrition while cooking in culinary labs
• Study child development in the Early Learning Center
• Manipulate textiles to create a simple outfit design
• Enhance leadership and communication skills
• Analyze relationships through activities and film
• Examine best strategies for managing money by developing a finance plan
• Explore careers in FCS
