As the official newsletter for Messiah College employees, the Intercom is intended for Messiah College news items that arise in the normal course of college business and activities, and are applicable and relevant to a broad employee base. Personal announcements including the following will not be accepted:

• Individual prayer requests
• Personal solicitations for monetary contributions

In order to ensure accuracy and ability to meet production deadline:

• The deadline for submission to the Intercom is 4 p.m. on Tuesday for Thursday’s publishing date.
• All items must be submitted by e-mail to the Intercom mailbox (intercom@messiah.edu). Attachments should be submitted as a Word document or as a PDF file.
• All class field trip lists and other student lists must be submitted by e-mail (preferably as a Word attachment).
• The Intercom staff will not accept news items submitted via snail or campus mail or dictated over the telephone.
• The Intercom staff will not accept requests to excerpt or write an announcement based on submitted hard copy.
• All items are subject to edit for grammar, spelling, consistency and editorial policy. The Intercom is edited in Associated Press style. Please refer to the most recent Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual if you have questions or concerns about editorial choices.

• By request, an announcement may run for only a maximum of two weeks.
• All announcements are subject to editing for length and/or clarity.
