Donations

All funds raised will be donated to the Mennonite Disaster Service, directed toward their Hurricane Katrina Disaster relief operation.

*James McBride, award-winning writer, composer and saxophonist, came to campus to give a lecture and concert on September 7th.  He personally donated 140 of his CD's to be sold to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina.  All CDs were sold out in a hour raising a total of $700 toward our fund raising efforts.

**On September 3rd a collection was taken at the men's soccer match against Arcadia.  Thank you to all of the fans who provided a donation raising $775 more toward our joint effort.

***Through our common chapels and the available bucket in the Agape Center we have been able to collect an additional $5,592.46

**** On Saturday September 17th a group of students who were part of Who’s Zoomin’ Who and Issachar’s Loft organized a car war to take place at Sovereign Bank on route 15 in Camp Hill. Through their efforts they collect $500 in donations. They were then matched the $500 by Sovereign Bank.

Health Kits
250 Health Kits and additional supplies have been collected and donated to Mission Central, who will then deliver those kits to Louisiana.

$250 to support the cost of shipping of those kits has been raised and given to Mission Central as well.

Fall Break Trip
The cost to send the Reconnaissance Team to Louisiana for the week of Oct. 16-23 is $3360.

$500 has been donated by the Student Government Association
$127 in donations have been collected so far.

Donations are still being accepted in the Agape Center reception area. 

If you would like to make a donation to the Mennonite Disaster Service, please  make all checks payable to "Mennonite Disaster Service."

If you would like to make a donation to the Messiah College Reconnaissance Team, please make checks payable to “Messiah College.”
