Review of:
The killer angels : a novel by Michael Shaara

The winner of the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, The Killer Angels is a historical fictional account of the Battle of Gettysburg.  This crucial battle of the Civil War is told from the perspective of several key participants from both North and South, such as Robert E. Lee, James Longstreet, Winfield Scott Hancock, and Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain.  While the events are historically accurate, Michael Shaara does an exceptional job providing the reader with a sense of what the soldiers might have been thinking and feeling at Gettysburg in 1863.
