Messiah College to present JazzONE
and JazzSINGERS in concert

GRANTHAM, Pa. (April 13, 2004) —The Messiah College department of music will present JazzONE and JazzSINGERS in their annual spring concert on Friday, April 30, at 8 p.m. in Miller Auditorium, located in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college's Grantham campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, extension 3310.

JazzSINGERS is a 14 voice mixed ensemble with its own signature vocal sound. Under the direction of Elaine Henderson, the group will present several classic jazz songs in both upbeat and ballad styles. JazzONE is Messiah's big band. Under the direction of William Stowman, Ph.D., JazzONE will perform a mix of sacred and secular jazz settings and new arrangements. Both JazzSINGERS and JazzONE just completed recording their first CD, which will be released this fall.

Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia.
