Messiah College to host Out of Eden
in music festival for local charity

GRANTHAM, Pa. (April 12, 2004) —Messiah College's Student Activity Board will sponsor Hopefest-an all-day music festival to raise money and awareness for New Hope Ministries-featuring local and national bands on Saturday, April 24. Student bands will perform from noon till 6:30 p.m., in the newly-constructed Larsen Student Union. Out of Eden, the headline band, will perform at 7 p.m. in Brubaker Auditorium, located on the college's Grantham campus. All events are free and open to the public. Out of Eden, a trio consisting of sisters Lisa Kimmey, Andrea Kimmy Baca, and Danielle Kimmy, mix elements of R&B, pop, hip-hop and soul to create a unique sound. Their achievements include being nominated for two Dove Awards, producing four albums since 1994 and selling more than a million albums.

Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia.
