Messiah College to present faculty recital

GRANTHAM, Pa. (August 30, 2004) — The Messiah College Department of Music will present a faculty recital on Friday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall located in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, extension 3310.

The recital will be a mix of classical, contemporary American, jazz and hymn arrangements by American composers living and composing today. The program will be casual and the audience will be seated at dinner theatre tables. Refreshments will be served. The informal setting will allow the audience to be active participants in the concert rather than spectators only. Performing faculty include Rebecca Wilt, piano; Susan Klick, flute; Jeremy Buss, horn; Bradley Genevro, clarinet; William Stowman, trumpet; Elaine Henderson, soprano; Melanie Miller, trumpet; Jim Ryon, trombone; and Eric Henry, tuba.

Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg . A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia . .
