GRANTHAM, Pa. (September 14, 2004) — Messiah College ’s Student Activity Board will present a concert featuring the Lancaster-based group The Innocence Mission on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Eisenhower Campus Center , located on the college’s Grantham campus. Tickets cost $8 and doors open at 7 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Messiah College ticket office at (717) 691-6036.

Compared to groups such as 10,000 Maniacs and singer Joni Mitchell, this folk-pop trio is headed by lead singer Karen Peris and also includes her husband Don Peris on guitar and Mike Bitts on bass. The group is expected to perform songs from their seventh full-length album, “Befriended.” For further information on the band, visit their website at www.theinnocencemission.com.

Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg . A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia .
