Suzanne C. Miller Messiah College to present student recitals GRANTHAM, Pa. (October 8, 2004) There will be two Messiah College student voice recitals on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 3 and 6 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The recitals are free and open to the public. For additional information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310. Philip Graybill, senior education major of Woodbury, will perform his baritone voice recital first at 3 p.m. Selections for his performance include: George Frideric Handel’s “Behold, I tell you a mystery” and “The trumpet shall sound” from Messiah. Graybill will be accompanied by pianist Joshua W. Evans and will be assisted by various other music students throughout his performance. Lori Harris is a junior music education major and resides in Brockway. She will be performing a joint voice recital with senior music education major Bethany Klein, of Perkasie, at 6 p.m. Her program consists of works from Joseph Haydn’s “Creation” as well as “The Marriage of Figaro” from Guiseppe Verdi’s “A Ball in Maschera.” Harris will be accompanied by pianist Karah Sirinides and will have special guests, including harpist Fawn Upright, Victoria Bigelow on clarinet and soprano Lisa Coss. Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg .
