Suzanne C. Miller Messiah College Choral Arts Society to hold auditions for Mozart's "Requiem" GRANTHAM, Pa. (October 8, 2004) Entering its 59th season, the Messiah College Choral Arts Society will hold public auditions in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 12-2 p.m. For more information or to schedule an audition, call (717) 691-6027, ext. 1. Singers will need to prepare a piece for the audition. An accompanist will be provided. Rehearsals for the 2005 Choral Arts Society season will be Tuesdays from 7–9:15 p.m. beginning January 18. The chorus’ annual performance, held on Sunday, April 24, 2005 , at 3 p.m. , will be Mozart’s “Requiem,” accompanied by orchestra. The chorus, a college and community choir comprised of Messiah College students and community members from central Pennsylvania , is directed by Linda Tedford, artist-in-residence at Messiah College . Tedford is also the founder/director of the Susquehanna Chorale, the resident chamber choir of Harrisburg ’s Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, and the Susquehanna Youth Chorale, based in Hershey. At the college, Tedford also conducts Messiah College ’s Concert Choir and teaches conducting and voice. Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls nearly 2,900 undergraduate students in 60 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg .
