Messiah College to present student recital

GRANTHAM, Pa. (October 15, 2004) — Emily Hancock and Victoria Bigelow will perform a joint student recital on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The recital is free and open to the public. For additional information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310.

A resident of Annapolis , MD. , Hancock is a senior music education major and church music minor with a concentration in trumpet. Her portion of the recital includes classical, contemporary and baroque pieces for trumpet.

Bigelow, of Linden , is a senior music education major. Her section of the performance will feature three “fantasies” for clarinet, which span several historical periods and cultural regions of Europe .

Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg . A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia .
