Messiah College Jazz Combo to perform

GRANTHAM, Pa. (October 19, 2004) — The Messiah College Jazz Combo will perform an evening of jazz music on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall, located in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310.

The Jazz Combo is a quintet comprised of Messiah College students and staff. The group will perform “Summertime” by Gershwin as well as other jazz standards including, “Our Love is Here to Stay,” “Just You, Just Me” and “I Remember You.”The concert will be presented in an informal “café-style” setting and light refreshments will be provided.

Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham , Pa. , near the state capital of Harrisburg . A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia .
