Suzanne C. Miller Sara Groves to perform at Messiah College
GRANTHAM, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2004) — Messiah College’s Student Activities Board will present a concert featuring Christian artist Sara Groves on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. in the Larsen Student Union, located on the college’s Grantham campus. Admission is free and doors open at 7 p.m. For more information, call the Messiah College ticket office at (717) 691-6036. Nominated by the Gospel Music Association for a Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 2002, Groves recently completed her third CD titled, “The Other Side of Something.” In addition to her own albums, Groves can also be heard on the award winning “City on a Hill” series. She also joined with well-known artists Jars of Clay and Bebo Norman on the radio hit, “The Gathering.” When on tour, Groves’ career is a family affair that includes her two children and her husband who serves as her manager. She just recently completed a spring headlining tour and was the featured artist on the “Adoration” and “iWorship” tours where she shared a stage with Newsboys, Jeremy Camp and Rebecca St. James. Groves’ music has been highlighted on Grammy.com, Cdnow.com and she has also appeared in the pages of “Billboard” magazine. Messiah College , a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
